Bryan Meyers and Mike Meehan add to the list of Major Performance race victories in 2011. The pair took the victory in class 2000 at the Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno race the longest, and some would say toughest, desert race in the United States. The duo held off a competitive field to take the win in a little over 12.5 hours on course.
The air-cooled engine specialists at Major Performance have been delivering reliable, race winning performance in several series this season. Dan McMillin got the year off to a great start with a win at SCORE, Laughlin in 1600 and then it was Brother Luke with a win at the Baja 500 that put Luke into the class 1600 points lead. Rafael Navarro IV also took the win at the 500 in the Score Lites class putting him currently in the points lead. Other winners this season include Sammy Ariaza (Dos Mares), Paul Keller (SNORE), Justin “Bean” Smith (SCORE), Michelle Bruckmann (CODE) and Cody Agee (SNORE).
